WOMEN OUT OF TOWN - LOOKING AHEAD
In honor of the artist's 75th birthday, the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. will present "Judy Chicago: Circa 75." This exhibition examines a selection of her art that paralleled and influenced the U.S. feminist movement of the 1970s. During this decade, Chicago developed vivid, abstract "central core" imagery that constructed pictorial space from the center of the composition to create an abstract visual vocabulary that encapsulated a woman's point of view. Runs 1/17-4/30/2014.
