The SCWCA Eco-Art Collective hosted a community conversation at Golden West College Art Gallery on 1/28/17 from 11 am to 1 pm featuring artists talks and presentations by art activists.

After the artist talks, Suvan Geer introduced Standing Rock native water protector Zephyr Elise and ally Julianne Gale to talk about their experiences at the ongoing Dakota Access Pipeline protest and documentary photographer Ken Marchionno, who shared images of his Lakota annual memorial Oomaka Tokatakiya, Future Generations Ride, which travels 300 miles from the site of Sitting Bull's death to the site of the Wounded Knee massacre.

Exhibiting artists include Kim Abeles, Suvan Geer, Carolyn Applegate, Ulla Barr, J. Cheryl Bookout, Marie Cenkner, Danielle Eubank, Brenda Hurst, Ann Isolde, Katherine Kean, J.J. L'Heureux, Meg Madison, MaryLinda Moss, Sandra Mueller, Seda Saar and France White.
